Anyway, these are the thirteen daughters of the thirteen 'official' disney Princess line-up. I really enjoyed doing this, so I may take requests and make a second one of other disney princesses or other characters. Just let me know in the comments! I also chose to do them more as modern day daughters, as if all the children of our beloved Disney characters go to high school together, because I didn't want to take the time to draw out more time-appropriate clothing
So, onto the names and mothers and all that jazz:
Roxanne: Name means ‘Dawn’ in Persian. Parents are Aurora and Prince Phillip. Roxanne is a goody-two shoe, the perfect daughter. She wears pinks and perfect things, with collars and skirts and cardigans. She’s never broken the rules and not many people say things about her other than she’s quiet and she’s never personally been mean to them, but other than that, they don’t know anything else about her life.
Rizpah: Name means ‘Hot stone’ in Hebrew. Parents are Anna and Kristoff. Rizpah is the third and youngest daughter of Anna and Kristoff. She’s about fourteen years old and wants to fit in desperately. She has an edgier fashion, all about flames and metal bands. ‘Sven and Olaf’ is a popular punk-rock band that she idolizes.
Kyle: Name means ‘narrow/straight’ in association with arrows in Gaelic. Parents are Merida and Young MacGuffin. To her mother’s utter dismay, her first and only daughter which she gave a specifically male associated name, is the biggest girly-girl that ever lived. She is also proud of her curves and thick bones, inherited from her father, and flaunts it, teaching other girls who aren’t a perfect size 0 at her school how to still feel fab. But, like her mother, she’s not really interested in guys as much as she loves shopping and makeup!
Anila: Name means ‘child of the wind’ in native America cultures. Parents are Pocahontas and John Smith. Second oldest of the group at 19, Anila has found herself to be a ‘hipster’. She has been offered modeling gigs for her beautiful high cheekbones, but turned them all down. She shaved one side of her head and bleached a streak blond to further emphasize her father’s side. She has multiple earrings and is often found drinking Starbucks and writing poetry in little cafes.
Sona: Name means ‘gold/wisdom’ in Indian. Parents are Jasmine and Aladdin. Sona is a quiet but observant girl. Raised in luxury of a grand house with two very eccentric parents, she has taken a quieter side wearing simple shirts and pants with not much make-up or flourish. She is loud with her friends and has a yearning side of adventure that she right now reads only in books. One day she’d love to use her father’s plane- the Magic Carpet- and travel all over the world.
Bernadette: Name means ‘brave as a bear’ in German. Parents are Belle and Adam. Bernadette or ‘Berny’ as she is often called is a very non-material type of girl like her mother. She dislikes make-up, even though Kyle is always telling her what supposedly suits her face best and her favorite outfit of choice is a simple white shirt and her overalls to catch any paint splatters. Bernadette is an avid artist, specializing in painting. She and her mother always laugh how one day her mom will write the words and she’ll illustrate the pages.
Chapin: Name means ‘shoemaker’ in French. Parents are Cinderella and Charming. Chapin always is good to share a laugh about her unfortunate name, and is very easy going. She found her place in sports, and whether it is swimming, basketball, or tennis, Chapin is game. She’s highly competitive and her clothing of choice is any jersey (but only if they’re a good team) and spends most of her time working out.
Haracha: Name means ‘frog’ in African. Parents are Tiana and Naveen. Haracha is the eldest of the group, at twenty-one. She is sarcastic and skeptical, and has a dark side that sometimes scares people. Only Anila really gets her, and the pair are often found together. Haracha has been researching witchcraft and New Orleans magic ever since she heard how her parents met, and is insistent she’ll find a way to use it for good instead of evil.
Azura: Name means ‘blue’ in French. Parents are Elsa and Jack Frost. Azura is the third daughter of Elsa and Jack, although unlike Rizpah, is not the youngest. She- out of all those that inherited her parents powers- is the most powerful, and even retains some of the more immortal aspects like her father. She is caring, but rash, and is fiercely protective over the ones she loves.
Kaida: Name means ‘little dragon’ in Japanese. Parents are Mulan and Shang. Kaida is quiet and extremely studious, often finding a friend in Roxanne, and they will often sit silent next to each other reading and what not. She is also a secret nerd, who in the time she’s not acing classes, is reading fanfiction or watching anime.
Clara: Name meaning ‘bright or clear’ in Latin. Parents are Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Clara is a bright and bubbly ball of sunshine that is extremely fashion forward in a boho style. She always has a smile and usually is the first to crack a joke. She has a tattoo of a sun on her shoulder to remind herself that things will always get better. She’s currently dating Azura’s older brother, which makes Azura want to gag, but the pair are still close friends.
Melody: Name means ‘song’ in French. Parents are Ariel and Eric. Melody, at eighteen, still trying to find herself has in essence become a Goth. She got a twisted tattoo all over her shoulder, and dyed the tips of her hair magenta and pink. She often makes her face pale and wears black lipstick, and in all her mother isn’t really quite sure how to deal with her. She’s a really nice girl, if you give her a chance, and is extremely smart- being accepted to Stanford for engineering, and has taught the other daughters to never judge a book by it’s cover.
Avalon: Name means ‘apple’ in Welsh. Parents are Snow White and Prince Charming. Avalon is all prep and glamour. She prides herself on being perfect and being popular. She is a night owl that never sleeps (claiming that her mother slept all that she needed to sleep while under the sleeping curse), and despite everyone’s view of her as ‘perfect’ too, she is a party girl, but a sly one. She always knows who has what and where to get it and how to get it, although rarely uses it herself. She is slowly climbing the social ladder to the top.
